Dear Parents,

How are you doing? Again, it has been another busy week. During reading and writing this week, our class has been studying short o words. At the same time, we continue sounding out words and writing words in our work. Along with our word work, the class has been writing simple stories and I am trying to emphasize periods/ capitals in their work. For math, the class is working on math facts within 20. Mastery of these skills allows children to build on these steps.

This week, I send out the link for Parent-teacher Conferences. They will be held after fall break. Each conference will take place on October 12th-13th for a twenty minute block. If you have not signed up, please click on the link to get your spot. Times are filling up quickly. The link is- https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0d4dafae2da0f5ce9-fall

On another note, our class is going on a field trip on October 13th to Mother Nature’s Farm. We are still missing many families and our deadline is September 20th. Our school will schedule busing based off the amount of children attending. There will be no exceptions. The link is-  https://yqysjrrxph.formstack.com/forms/mother_natures_farm_field_trip
