Dear Parents,
Happy New Year! We are now into full swing with the second half of the year. In reading and writing, our class is practicing long vowels and their rules. Along with skills, students are learning to figure out how to find the difference between short and long vowel sounds. For math, our class is jumping into place value. Place value will focus on counting but it will also be distinguishing between the tens and ones place.
Secondly, I have really enjoyed meeting with many families through Parent-Teacher Conferences. I truly enjoy showing how much we have learned together. Additionally, I am so impressed with the amount of work from your child.
Next week, I am going to start the Fluency Packs again. Many families have explained they are working hard and I even saw a great recording of students reading the passage. Please keep working with your child. I am sure this will help your child greatly in second grade.
2022-2023 Enrollment
We have begun reenrollment for next year. We have a two-process step for reenrollment. Reenrollment paperwork and Infinite Campus Kiosk will be due by January 14th.
