Firstie News

 In Uncategorized

Dear Parents,

We are entering that busy time with holidays and lots of excitement. The kids are gearing up for all the fun things around this time.

This week, our class has been working on diagraphs- th, ch, sh, wh, and ph. The class has been doing really well. For math, our firsties are adding three addends together. Again, they are doing a great job.

Earlier in the week, I sent home a turkey project. Each child will disguise a turkey. The turkey will return to school on November 10th. We will hang them in the hall. Thank you!

Literacy Tip-

At this point, most children are using words like great or fun. Kids use these words frequently. In conversations, talk with your child using more elaborate vocabulary like- stupendous or heartbroken. Your child will these words to their daily conversations.

Learning Celebration

Learning Celebration is a time-honored tradition that we have at San Tan where families are invited into each student’s classroom to celebrate all the hard work and learning the students have done. We will run Learning Celebration from 1:00-3:30 (11:30-12:00 for half day Kinder) on Friday November 4th.

Cultural Fair- Volunteers Needed

We are hosting our annual Cultural Fair at the Recker campus on November 7th from 9:00-1:30. We typically ask for parents to come in and volunteer to run a table based on your family’s culture. We would love for families to host a table to share artifacts, foods, and stories that reflect your family’s culture. This is such a fun and informative event for our elementary students.

Here is our sign-up link and thank you so much for considering!
