Firstie News
Dear Parents,
November is on the horizon. We are loving the cooler temperatures and pumpkins are on our minds. In class, students have been working on the short vowel u and answering reading questions. We have also been discussing buildings too. For math, our class is using addition to complete subtracting facts. I know many students are working so hard on math and they are always asking me for more work. I am laughing a great deal!
A Big Thank You to the parents, who came in to help our class with pumpkins! I am so excited to have parents helping in the classroom. The children also love seeing the helpers too. Thank you!
In the next few weeks, our school is celebrating the Cultural Fair and the Learning Celebration. For the Cultural Fair, I am sending home a flag, which will need to be decorated with your families traditions/ cultures. Please make sure that you return it by the due date, in order for it to be displayed during our celebration.
Winter Music Concert
The concert is Wednesday, December 15th. We will be holding the performance at Mission Church (4450 E Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85234).
We so excited for our venue change. We are asking for $10 per family in order to of set the cost of the venue. This “Family Pass” will allow you to attend the entire night of shows if you would like!
Please pay close attention to your child’s showtime, as we have three different performances that night. Your child will need to arrive 30 minutes before their designated showtime to check in.
Concert Showtimes:
5:00 – 5:30 – Kindergarten – 2nd grades
6:00 – 6:30 – Montessori K-6th
7:00 – 7:30 – 3rd – 6th grades
The dress code for the concert is black bottoms (skirt, pants, leggings, etc.), a white blouse or nice top, and the child’s choice of winter/holiday accessories (festive bows, scarves, ties, necklaces, or hats.) Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

Cultural Fair Table Volunteers
November 12th, 2021 9:00-1:30
WE NEED YOU!
We are working on scheduling our Annual Culture Celebration coming up for November 12th. In years past, we have hosted parent volunteers who host a table to teach students about different cultures. We would love for families to host a table to share artifacts, foods, and stories that reflect your family’s culture.
Please sign up with your name and the country you wish to represent!

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Volunteers
Occurring the day before Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown Thanksgiving is a tradition at San Tan Charter! Dr. and Mrs. Sippel began this tradition in the first Montessori Preschool class with bean soup. The tradition continues for families by bringing their own lunch and eating it picnic style outside as a community and brining desserts to share.
We are looking for volunteers to help us pull off this awesome event!
