Weekly News

Dear Parents,

This week, our class is learning about how to stretch and blend words. This skill is the beginning of your child’s reading process. With math, we are learning to read a word problem with addition or subtraction, using vocabulary- less, fewer, or more. The children are doing a great job writing equations and enjoy math. Our class also continued working on Map Testing for the week.

Our weekly literacy tip is to dig deeper in the story. Ask your child deeper questions. For example, ask, “Why do you think Clifford did that?” These questions will allow your child to have conversation and develop thinking about the character. Additionally, your child will learn to use text clues in the story. These area essential skills for all readers!
