Dear Parents,

How are you? I am so surprised that the third quarter has been breezing along and it is almost over. For phonics, we are wrapping up our long vowel unit. At the same time, I am trying to reinforce and practice these concepts within each child’s writing. The practical application is always helpful for students. For math, our class is working hard at subtracting double digits and we are exploring the best strategy for each child.

This week, I sent home a Student Treasure’s order form and it is due on Monday. The orders will be returned to the company and the book will be published. So exciting!

In the past few weeks, I have sent the link for the next field trip. The field trip is to Butterfly Wonderland and it is on April 1st. Here is the link, if you still need to sign up- https://yqysjrrxph.formstack.com/forms/butterly_wonderland_1st_grade
